Crossfire G93 ECNL Washington State Champions...Again!!!

May 8, 2011

Redmond, WA - This was G93’s last State Cup battle - and it was a battle! Crossfire held on through a storm of attacks by an Eastside team who threw everything they had into the game. A strong Crossfire defensive line and some luck held through the first half to enter halftime with a 0-0 score. Crossfire struggled with their own rhythm and Eastside’s game tactics. Second half shifted as Crossfire established more control, played better soccer and became more of the threat we’re used to seeing! Crossfire did not give up and when fouled in the EFC box were able to capitalize on the penalty kick. The game was not pretty. It was a battle and this time, the last State Cup battle for Crossfire G93, Crossfire got the win! Congratulations, Girls! 5 championships in 7 years of Washngton State Cups is an AMAZING record!

Now onward to the Elite Club National League tournaments, championships and an ECNL-only focus in 2011-2012 GU18 season.

Crossfire a Proud Participant in Elite Clubs National League

ECNL
We are very excited to be part of the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). The ECNL is a national youth soccer league founded in 2009 for U-15 through U-18 girls’ teams for the purpose of providing the highest level of competition and the best developmental environment for American female youth soccer players, as well as an identification and development program, which will seek to include players in US Soccer’s national Teams.

The ECNL also provides a fantastic venue for our girls to showcase their talents several times a year to college coaches. Crossfire enters its fourth year with the ECNL, after a strong showing in the league’s inaugural 2009 season.
